Rosebank Private House – plans, elevations & sections
Cape Town residential architect project
Design Mine, appointed as residential architect, was asked to design an extension to an existing residential house, in Cape Town, with minimal living spaces. The clients required the house to have a better flow of space, and well as additional living spaces.
The existing architecture is of a traditional residential house form with high proportions, a pitched roof, and traditional openings. The house had subsequently been converted to accommodate students, so the original living spaces had been divided and converted into bedrooms. The original house thus lost it’s sense of homeliness.
